I'm completely sold on jam in cakes for using up the excess, though.Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16619866897155085499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3388623297510187244.post-83758556461953293732012-04-10T20:49:49.870+01:002012-04-10T20:49:49.870+01:00In theory I should have stirred the ice cream ever...In theory I should have stirred the ice cream every hour or so during freezing, but in practice I started feeling ill a little while after putting it in the freezer and haven't touched it since. It will probably be rather solid when I take it out.Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16619866897155085499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3388623297510187244.post-65013193084859475682012-04-10T17:05:23.538+01:002012-04-10T17:05:23.538+01:00ha ha that posting did make me laugh! I find it easier just to give my excess jam to my mother in law and anybody else who will take it - so long as I get the empty jars back I don't care!Millymollymandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12990749863025598526noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3388623297510187244.post-40993174398522443552012-04-09T20:58:16.565+01:002012-04-09T20:58:16.565+01:00I'm impressed with your ingenuity. Once every five years or so I get a hankering for it and buy a small jar, but inevitably most of it goes to waste. Perhaps I just need to "think outside the jar" so to speak!EcoCatLadyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15704811319510740473noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3388623297510187244.post-48678128027808593202012-04-09T19:01:03.235+01:002012-04-09T19:01:03.235+01:00Phwoar - that ice cream sounds ace. Had a few spoonfuls of ricotta cheese and half a tin of coconut milk so I shoved them in some buns with a few swirls of plum jam. They are pretty good, but it's definitely the jammy blobs that raise them above just so so...Chants Cottagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03309727464738227832noreply@blogger.com
