And now for my close-up...
After two weeks it was really horrible, then it improved a bit. From the third to the fourth week I was convinced it had settled down to a natural state that was more sheep's wool than cat's fur. Then... it started to improve again, ever so slightly. It's been gradually improving ever since.
At the moment I'd say it's acceptable, but not nice. I can walk down the street with it loose and not attract attention, but it doesn't have the light, silky, shininess that it used to have straight after washing. It still feels a little oily, but nowhere near as bad as it did at its worst.
Oilymakes it sound worse than it is, but I can't think of the right word.
I did say that after six weeks, if I wasn't happy with my hair, I'd go back to washing it. Well, I'm not entirely happy with it, but I'm not ready to give up on the experiment just yet. I think it's probably still improving, so I'm going to give it another two weeks and reassess it then.
I's say it was working, I shower twice a week because I'm a bone idle smelly teenager and might as well live up to the stereotype, but it looks like my hair 2 days after washing, it looks fine!
ReplyDeleteYou are so brave. I can leave my hair for a week at most (and having to face dozens of shiny teens on a daily basis is motivation enough to have clean hair) but if I don't wash my hair, all I can think of is "ickyhairfilthyhairoilhairwashyourhair"
ReplyDeleteDon't give up!
Gingerbread Lady, that was how I felt for a week or so, but it got better after that. Thanks for the encouragement, both!
ReplyDeleteTop effort! I can't make it through a day without wanting to wash my hair :(
